WHO WE ARE

Apostolic Assembly was founded in 1981 when Elder Forrest Campbell was moved by God to start a work in Mineral Ridge, Ohio. When Elder Campbell passed away in 1989, Pastor and Sister Burbridge were led by the hand of God to take up the mantle and continue the work of God in his stead.

What followed was many years of toil, many mountains and many valleys. But through it all God has been consistent in his dedication to his people, and his man, Pastor Burbridge, has been faithful to the doctrine of Truth.

Pilate asked Jesus before his crucifixion, "What is truth?" This question has a definite answer, an answer that is found in the pages of scripture, and it all starts with the foundation of Acts 2:38:

"THEN PETER SAID UNTO THEM, REPENT AND BE BAPTIZED EVERY ONE OF YOU, IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, AND YE SHALL RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST"
But what does that mean? Peter was preaching the first message of salvation after Calvary, and he indicated three things were essential for salvation:

REPENTANCE
Repentance is the turning away from old sins. A person that repents tells God they don't want the sins of their past life any more, and they want God to take control of their lives and heart.
BAPTISM
Baptism in Jesus name and is the proof of a person's faith in the forgiving power of the blood of Christ, and is essential. Once a person is buried in baptism, they're never the same!
THE HOLY GHOST
Having been obedient to the gospel, the infilling of the Holy Ghost is inevitable. This happens when a person is filled with the Spirit of God and is evidenced by speaking in tongues, as the early church did.
